Research Interests

I am a mathematical physicist, with interests in both preturbative and non perturbative aspects of the renormalization of quantum field theories. My research projects center around the idea of applying techniques inspired by renormalization in quantum field theory to random tensor models (higher dimensional generalizations of random matrix models). This direction of research is closely related algebraic topology, knot theory, low dimensional topology and homotopy theory. More generally, this approach provides a bridge between combinatorics and algebraic topology. On the physics side this study is relevant for problems ranging form quantum gravity to condensed matter.
