Conference Listing:
Cosmological Frontiers in Fundamental Physics 2013
The purpose of this informal workshop was to discuss and exchange ideas on recent developments at the interface of modern cosmology and fundamental physics.
This conference, which was part of the series of Loops conferences, presented and reviewed recent progress and highlights in loop quantum gravity and other quantum gravity approaches. There was a focus mainly on background independent approaches which are approaches that do not depend on perturbation theory formulated in a classical background.
Renormalization Group Approaches to Quantum Gravity
This workshop, for the first time, brought together researchers working on different models of quantum gravity, who use the Renormalization Group in different forms. Conceptual as well as more technical questions were discussed, and a new dialogue between different quantum gravity approaches was established.
International Workshop on Quantum LDPC Codes
The subject of this workshop centered around the leading edge of current research in Quantum Information, specifically in the field of quantum error correction. Quantum LDPC codes is the only class of codes where a finite rate and a finite fault-tolerant error correction threshold are known to coexist.
Superluminality in Effective Field Theories for Cosmology
The aim of this workshop was to bring people together to discuss the controversies surrounding superluminality and make progress on the outstanding issues.
Information Theoretic Foundations for Physics
The purpose of this conference is to bring together researchres from different fields of theoretical physics in order to discuss information-theoretic approaches and their potential for innovations in the foundations of physics.
